Imam Hamid Slimi
Imam Hamid Slimi
is a scholar who is specialized in Islamic studies and Shari'ah as
well as Comparative World Religions. He holds two Masters degrees
in both disciplines and his Ph.D. is being finalized in Islamic Law in the subject
of Usul al-Fiqh and Maqasid. He received both his traditional and
Academic learning in Morocco and attended other renowned
institutions and universities in other parts of the world.
Imam Hamid has been an Imam of a few Islamic centers in Ontario,
Canada. He is currently the executive director of Faith of Life
Network and also the chair of
the Canadian Council of Imams
as well as the Host and Producer of the Network's daily
and TV shows and documentaries. Imam Hamid Slimi speaks five languages including His mother tongue Arabic.
