Imam Hamid Slimi
Sh. Hamid Slimi
is a scholar who is specialized in Islamic studies and Shari'ah as
well as Comparative World Religions. He holds two Masters degrees
in both disciplines and his Ph.D. is in Islamic Law in the subject
of Usul al-Fiqh and Maqasid. He received both his traditional and
Academic learning in Morocco and attended other renowned
institutions and universities in other parts of the world.
Imam Hamid has been the Imam of International Muslims Organization of
Toronto since 2001, which is one of the largest Islamic Centers in North America. He is also the chair of
the Canadian Council of Imams and the President of
Faith of Life
Network as well as the Host and Producer of the Network's daily
and TV shows and documentaries. Sh. Hamid Slimi speaks five languages including His mother tongue Arabic.
